This week, I endeavored to fill up the scene with props, without making it seem too repetitive. I modeled the organ which is up front.
Additionally, I explored more references for the scene and experimented with higher exposure Skydome lights. I've also added an area light to the left wall, to have light stream in through those windows too.
I did punch holes in the floor, but the UVs are a mess and the textures appear stretched, which needs fixing. Also, I chose to remove the X-Gen generated grass. I can hopefully model a flower bunch and then duplicate it with enough variety .
I am aware that the godray effects are completely gone with this Skydome configuration, but if it cannot be helped, it's a sacrifice I'll have to make. I will continue to refine the textures this week.
